Background to the Projecet

National Science Week 2006 (10-19 March) (www.the-ba.net/nsw/) was an opportunity for students of all ages to take part in science, engineering and technology activities.

London schools excel in their use of ICT within the curriculum and being part of the same Pan-London educational network and in-turn the National Education Network (NEN) brings great advantages when incorporating distance learning and ICT.

Building on the success of the London Live (www.londonlive.lgfl.net) event in October 2005 – the largest every whole day video conference for the UK schools sector, The London Grid for Learning helped to promote Science Week to London by involving London Schools in a selection of whole day video conferences’ based around the theme of National Science Week.
